This is an important award based on the work of Merimna. Eugenia Vathakou, CEO of Merimna, received the Award and stated:
“This Award is an important recognition of the work of Merimna. Merimna supports children in their most difficult times: when they face serious illness and death. It provides Pediatric Palliative Home Care to children with life-threatening illness and their families and bereavement support to children who have experienced the loss of a beloved one.
Merimna is in constant interaction with society and responds to the needs that arise at any given time, such as the impact of the refugee and pandemic situation on children and adolescents.
This award reinforces our vision: that every child experiencing loss or serious illness has the appropriate support.”
