Merimna provides psychological support after the accident in Tempi

Dozens of our fellow citizens, especially young children, lost their lives in Tuesday night in the fatal train accident in the area of Tempi. The Board of Directors and the employees of Merimna express our deep sorrow to the families who are going through very difficult times mourning their losses.

The psychologists of the two Bereavement Support Centers in Athens and Thessaloniki, will provide psychological support to families with children, adolescents and young people up to 25 years old who have lost a loved one in the accident.

They will also be available to provide telephone counselling to teachers and university professors who have students in their classroom who have lost a child or a student who have lost a friend or relative.

In addition, a “Support Group” will be set up at Merimna after Easter for students who are mourning the loss of their friend(s) in the accident.

The services of Merimna are provided free of charge.
