On October 13th, Merimna, Jenny Karezi Palliative Care Unit, Galilee and Nosilia, with the participation of the Hellenic Patients’ Association, held a Press Conference at the E.S.H.E.A. on the occasion of World Palliative Care Day.The Press Conference presented the work and recent actions/interventions of the organisations for the benefit of patients with life-threatening illnesses and stressed the need for cooperation of all stakeholders in order to put into practice the message for the World Palliative Care Day, which is to ensure the right of patients to Palliative Care through appropriate services and through “compassionate communities”. The stakeholders participating in the Press Conference underlined their willingness to engage with the State and relevant stakeholders to ensure patients’ right to appropriate Palliative Care services.
