Every year, the second Friday of October is dedicated to raising awareness for children suffering from life-threatening illnesses who require Pediatric Palliative Care Services and empowering professionals working in providing these services all over the world.
Merimnas’ team joins the campaign HatsOn4CPC. On this day, we spread the message of Pediatric Palliative Care by wearing different “hats,” like those we wear and change daily while providing Palliative Care to children in need. We are the professionals who switch our roles (“hats”) each day to meet the complex needs of these children and their families, sometimes as caregivers, nurses, teachers, counselors, advocates… and the list goes on. But it’s also the parents of these children, whose daily “hats,” in addition to being a parent, include those of a caregiver, teacher, physical therapist, nurse, and many others. So, we wear our “hats,” take photos, support the international campaign #HatsOn4CPC, and send an optimistic message for every child in need of Palliative Care!
