Merimna participated in the first Hospices of Hope (HoH) conference with its members, held in Kent, UK, 7-10 October. It was an important meeting that gave network members the opportunity to meet each other, but also to meet with network donors/sponsors in the UK and with the excellent team of HoH.
Dr. Eugenia Vathakou, CEO of Merimna, presented the achievements and challenges faced by the Pediatric Palliative Homecare Service of Merimna and actively participated in the dialogue which aimed on the one hand to share know-how and good practices and on the other hand to design appropriate strategies to promote Palliative Care in the countries of the partners organisations.
Merimna is a member of the HoH Palliative Care Services Network from 2021. HoH is a UK charity with the aim of developing Palliative Care in South and East Europe. In addition to Merimna and Nosilia in Greece, the network includes organisations providing Palliative Care in Romania, the Republic of Moldova, Serbia, Albania and Ukraine.
